Into The Chaos-It’s Not At All Bad To Wander

Imagine yourself as an adventurer who enters the jungle to find something valuable that you can use for your own and the world’s benefit. You enter into the aimless complexity with many doubts about whether you’ll find something or not. Whether you’ll come out of the jungle or not? You are worried what if I fail again and again? It’s okay if you feel lost. What’s not okay is that you think there will never be a way out. You’ll try multiple strategies to get out of that jungle. What if one plan fails? You’ll learn from that and apply those lessons while formulating the next strategy. It’s better to try and fail than never try at all. At least you’ll not have any regrets.

I hope that we all come out of “The Jungle” feeling relieved that we wandered, failed but managed to find our way out after countless obstacles. Life is like that jungle. You try new ventures, fail, and then try again until you find something that you’re really passionate about. That’s how you live! That’s how you complete the mission called life.

Do you feel adrift and confused about which way to go? Do you long for something more but have no clue what’s exactly missing? Do you experiment with new things regularly? You are certainly not lost but are wandering.

It’s completely okay to feel lost once in a while. And wonder why I bother living this mundane life lacking a much-needed adrenaline rush. Why not just take an unconventional path? Wanders are aimless nomads uncertain of their direction. They explore and seek out new directions continuously to figure out the purpose of their existence in this world. After trying out new things, they wonder, “What else is there?”

It is difficult not to feel lost sometimes. Where will I live next year? What’s my purpose in life? Am I satisfied with my current job? What do I want to do next? Sometimes these questions weigh heavily on our minds. It’s very challenging to answer the aforementioned questions, yet also very rewarding. You’ll lose your way along the journey. That’s totally fine. In reality, you are not lost but hopeful and excited about discovering new corners; your mind will encourage you to roam the hidden depths of your brain, helping you to head in the exact direction you need.

Feeling lost doesn’t mean that your life is hopeless; it’s a sign that something better is waiting for you.

Maybe you’ve been living your life based on the standards set by others and lost sight of what you want from your life.

Maybe you value others’ opinions rather than looking into your own heart.

It’s time you lose yourself to find something new, something totally different.

It’s an opportunity to rekindle your curiosity; rejuvenate the sheer joy of discovery you experienced as a child.

It’s a chance to reconnect with yourself. Slow down; try to listen to your heart and discover your deepest needs, wishes, and values. Rediscover your talents and hidden elements of your personality. That is what really matters.

It’s right around the corner.

One day you’ll find your way from curiosity to clarity. Trust the process.

Continue to explore, dream and discover.

Take chances, allow yourself to question, explore and go out of your comfort zone. It’s a sign that you are willing to strive for something better, as Allama Iqbal has put it, ‘Faqat Zauq-E-Parwaaz Hai Zindagi.’ That is what we need to survive in this world and solve the problems faced by humanity. Pursue your deepest desires and travel the path of the unknown. Society will try restricting you to the same old mediocre journey travelled by the rest of the world. Wander anyway with all your heart and pure intent!

Carpe Diem!
